Exchange and Return Policy

Definition: 'Return' is defined as the action of giving back the item purchased by the buyer on the website of Mahalekshmi. Following situations may arise:

  • Item was defective
  • Product(s) was / were missing
  • Wrong item was sent by the seller

Buyer need to raise the request of return within 2 days from the date of product delivery with the original bill. Please note that after 2 days after the delivery of the product the option of return will not be available against the individual order.

Make sure to write us an email describing the issue within the first 2 days of receiving the product. Ship us back the product within the first 7 days to be eligible for a refund/exchange.

Do not ship the product back to us before emailing us of the issue at: We would entertain the product return only after receiving mail from the customer.

You are eligible for a refund/exchange only if:

  • The product is in unused condition ie, the foldings of the saree are not disturbed, no stains, no evidence of wear.
  • Item(s) must be unworn, unwashed and with all original tags/labels attached.
  • The tassels are not made in the saree
  • The blouse is not detached from the saree.
  • The falls is not stitched to the saree.

Mahalekshmi Silks will not allow the exchange of online products in our showrooms.

For product exchange, the customer can return the product to our address and once we verified and confirmed the defect/damage, we will send the new poduct according to the availability or we will provide an online coupon code for the value of return product. Then the customer can apply this code on their next online purchase and will get an instant cash discount equivalent to the return value.

Mahalekshmi reserves the right to reject the claim of any request of return as well as reject the return if the product on inspection does not meet our policies of return.

In such an event the product would be returned back to the customer without any replacement.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

We reserve the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion, under a situation where we are not able to meet the requirement of the order placed or order so placed/cancelled does not comply with our policy or for any other reason.

However, we will ensure that any communication of cancellation of an order, so cancelled, is intimated within appropriate time to the concerned person and any applicable refund will be made in reasonable time.

In case of refund, the purchase price (excluding delivery charges for online) will be refunded to you using the original payment method once we have received the returned item back and confirmed that it meets conditions above. You are responsible for any costs associated with returning the item to us including any currency conversion and/or local or international taxes.

Kindly note that It may take up to 7 business days for the refund amount to appear on your bank account once the refund has processed.
